So my good friend, Kitty Bucholtz, and I have been chatting over Skype two or three times a month for the last couple of years. We laugh, we vent, we laugh some more, we talk about books and then we attempt to get some work done and stay focused. Kitty is better at this than I am. It's the squirrel thing or as I've said here before, the shiny. The shiny is very distracting.
That being said, I heard about this new thing called blab. You get on there live with other people and blab about whatever it is that interests you. Huh. Now I'm not a fan of being on camera. I'm not photogenic. I'm not one of those people who likes to be the center of attention (gives Kitty side eye). But I love to talk about books and reading. And I love to talk to other authors. They're my peeps! They don't look at me like I'm crazy when I talk about the voices in my head. They love reading and books as much as I do!
So we decided to start a Book Blab. Why not do what we love to do, and share it with others? Starting tomorrow night, Kitty and I will be on Blab every Wednesday night from 7pm-8pm PST blabbing with other authors about books, what they're writing, what they're reading, what they love, what makes them tick. Fun stuff!
We did a trial run last week, and we had a blast. The hilarious thing was that I put ‘Test-Nothing to see here' in the subject box because we were just trying to make sure we knew how to work everything and 17 people showed up. We had some chat conversations with some new people, and it was so much fun! We were having such a good time that after we had done the “interview” portion we stayed on and had an aftershow with a friend of Kitty's that popped in!
If you miss the live blab tomorrow night and want to check it out, I will be posting it here every week, but it's way more fun to be part of it live. You'll be able to ask the author questions, there will be giveaways, and knowing us, shenanigans.
Check out the live blab tomorrow night. We are interviewing the fabulous Tracy Reed. She's a fabulous romance author and a ton of fun! Here's the link:
Here is our test run! I'd love to hear what you think in the comments!
