5 Stars “First let me say, I loved the name of the main character in the book. Rory was short for Aurora. Did you know that was Sleeping Beauty's actual name? I also love the name of her friend Gage. Yes that is one of things I fell in love with in this book were the names of the characters.
This book grabbed me from the beginning. You see the first scene has Rory going into a storm drain to save the life of a puppy. That pulled at my heart strings because as many of you know I love my fur babies. The fact that Rory is willing to risk her life in the pouring rain to save a puppy grabbed my attention. And that is what hooked me. But the second thing that hooked me was the fact that the story took place on a golf course. You see my husband and I met while both of us were working at a golf course so that brings back memories. Also the setting in the Carolinas on a beach sold me as well.”
5 Stars “Rory's life seems perfect. She has great friends, she's best friends with her parents best friends' son. Unfortunately, he's crazy about her and although he'd make the perfect boyfriend, she's unsure if she shares his feelings. Then out of the blue, her childhood crush moves back in across the street. He's gotten older, taller and gorgeous! With his surprising return begins the rumors of his troubled past. Which are true and which are lies? Added to that, a teenage girl is missing, will she be next?
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I'd expected it to focus mainly on the romance aspect, but it was a perfect mix. I was completely engrossed from start to finish. I found it amusing that Rory had a knack for getting herself into trouble. The mystery was amazing, and had a few twists. When you find out who the serial kidnapper is, it'll certainly shock you! This was an amazing hard to put down novel, one I'm sure many of you will enjoy!”
