Christmas arrives like a Ninja. All sneaky and quiet. You don’t see it coming, until BLAM! It’s December 20th and you can’t believe how far from finished you are. I woke up at 4:30 this morning in a bit of panic with everything I hadn’t done yet. I sat down, made a list and was relieved to find it wasn't insurmountable. I had done more shopping than I thought and I really just needed to do a few things.
I have to brave Costco. I thought I might get out of it this year but sadly, no. It has to be done. Actually, I may have to go there twice. I’m hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my house this year and some of the stuff I need I can only get there. Huge boxes of Bagel Bites that kind of thing. I currently do not have room in my freezer for huge boxes of anything, so two trips it is.
I also need to plan my menu for our big Italian, family style, sit down dinner on Christmas Day. I made enough food last year to feed about ten times the amount of people I had and we were leaving town the next day. Leftovers were not an option. I’m Italian and I always worry about having enough food. I will be scaling down this year but I’m thinking we will still be having six courses. Everybody better save room this year or else!
I have not wrapped a single gift. I hate wrapping. I love having wrapped gifts under the tree but I hate wrapping. I get annoyed when I spend eight hours wrapping presents and it is all over in a minute and a half. All that effort and a bag of trash to show for it. So that is on my list too. Maybe I can pay someone.
One trip to the Italian bakery and one very long trip to the grocery store and I should be done. Not impossible but it will take me the next five days to get it all done. Why did I wait until the last minute? Again? I do love a challenge.
Have a fabulous Christmas!

Thanks for the cover link! Merry Christmas. I’m adding your link to my post.
The end of the holidays comes like a Ninja for me. I had most everything done weeks ago and now I’m feeling a little sad it happened so fast. And today we’re under a severe weather alert expecting about 10 inches of snow. (((sigh)))

No problem! I think their designs are beautiful. As far as snow goes I live in Southern California so no snow here! I don’t know how people live with all that snow. It’s so gorgeous but I hate being cold. So Cal is a good place for me. =)
