I know this totally sounds like bragging and I hate that but I wanted to share with everyone… Breathe won an award! Woo hoo! I entered it in the 2012 Weta Nichols Writing Contest and it won in the Young Adult category.
I was shocked to say the least. Especially since when the list of finalists came out, I wasn’t on it. When I saw my name on the list in first place I contacted the contest coordinator. Did I really win? Had they made a mistake? I was so confused. It turns out she had accidentally skipped over my name when she was posting the list of finalists.
It really was for the best though since I would have made myself sick the whole time waiting for the results. This way it was a lovely surprise. If you want to check it out click here
