Even though Crushing is launching in about two weeks, my son is graduating high school and life has gotten incredibly busy I went away last week with the hubby for our Anniversary. In another life I’m a travel agent. I love to travel, love to plan travel and love to help other people travel so Celebrity Cruise Lines invited me and a guest on a Preview Event on the Celebrity Solstice and it just happened to coincide with my Anniversary. A two day cruise to nowhere with the love of my life. Fabulous.
The ship is beautiful and their service was excellent. I’m now sold on Celebrity Cruise Lines. My husband enjoyed that everything was free. No surprise. So I did my travel agent job and toured the ship, took pictures, went to the sales talk and checked out just about every public area of the ship. No complaints. The food was excellent. This can go either way on a ship so I was pleasantly surprised.
On the Solstice they actually have a hot glass blowing show on the top deck and real grass. Cool. The show I went to was a Beatles Knock Off called “A Hard Day’s Night” and it was good. Everyone sang along, except for hubby who was in the cabin watching the Kings game.
I didn’t bring my computer because we were flying and it was a hassle but I really missed it. Even though I love being a travel agent, I love writing more. I wanted to post here but the internet was sketchy. So I got no writing work done.
It definitely felt like the calm before the storm. I knew I had so much to do but spending three uninterupted days with Kevin was wonderful. Besides who gets to go on a free cruise and say they're working?
I was so happy to get home and back to writing but I realized I have been cooped up in my office writing so much, I need to get out more. Either way, I’m pretty blessed. Who knew you could have two dream jobs? I've posted some pictures for you. I'm not posting the picture of the bidet I took to send to my nephew, that's another whole post by itself.

Sounds more like the calm before the “awesome.” Although graduations are bittersweet, it seems like a lot of hard work paying off (with the book and such). Enjoy.

Thanks. The graduation is of course bittersweet. My son has worked hard and I’m very proud. He’s so happy to be done that I can’t be too sad. I hope the work pays off. We’ll see. =) Thanks for commenting. I always look forward to your posts.
